Not sure I like this as much as the others! But - I still like it; you have a real talent, and I hope you know it. In a purely technical sense, I'm not keen on the repetition of that bright blue in the foreground, partly because I have a bit of prejudice against cerulean, and I think that's what it is! And partly because it's duller than the blue in the sky, so loses impact by comparison. But you have an unparalleled sense of design; and should be, and I hope are, doing something with it.

am very flattered by your comments Robert - thank you! I am a 'sunday' painter - I just do what I like and learn along the way. I agree with you about the repetition of the blue in the foreground - it has niggled me for days now and I intend to rework that bit! I must admit that I have struggled with my 'direction' in my paintings - I am influenced by the work of many artists past and present - but I'm not sure where I fit in! Am I an Expressionist? A Neo-Romantic? An Impressionist? Every piece I do seems to be somewhat different from the previous... I am thinking perhaps I should consider having an exhibition, but then I get cold feet, convincing myself that my work is simply not up to scratch...
