This is quite interesting, looks like you have been getting ideas from John Piper paintings

Hello again John - Yes, I do take great inspiration from artists of that era, such as Piper, Ravilious, Nash and Sutherland. You may have noticed in my paintings an attempt at Piper's bold and dynamic rendering of skies, and Ravilious's handling of landscape forms and shapes.

'East Riddlesden Hall' On the outskirts of Keighley, West Yorkshire, hidden away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, is the 17th century manor house of East Riddlesden Hall, now in the care of the National Trust. If you think it looks familiar, the Hall has been used as a film and TV setting, in particular as 'Wuthering Heights' in the recent ITV adaptation of Emily Bronte's book. Acrylic on canvas 20" x 16"
