Your stuff is so recocognisable Martin. Just love these colours...you inspire me.

You've not been posting for a while, unless I've missed them; glad you're back, and like this hot painting.

The colours you have used for this painting makes it look to me mystical, mysterious, and maybe like the place is haunted or something :-p really like it :-)

Super come back Martin.....and you haven't lost your touch. Briliant!!

Well thank you all very much! I haven't been away as such - I haven't been able to log on here for some time, hence the lack of paintings! One thing I don't like about POL as opposed to the likes of redbubble, etc, is the inability to reply directly to comments - it all seems rather cold and distant. One thing I have done is set up an online photo album of my artwork that can be accessed by anyone, even though it is on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4106915721081.169772.1528684462&type=3

Owned by the National Trust, Malham Tarn House has been home to the Malham Tarn Field Studies Centre since the 1940s. Situated on the north shore of Malham Tarn, with an impressive backdrop of woodland and the dramatic limestone crag of Highfolds Scar, the house has a history of occupation going back more than 350 years. What was of particular interest to me was the way the house sits in the landscape with the juxtaposition of the house and the limestone crag separated by the woods and their associated textures and shapes.
