Such a sensitive and engaging drawing Marjorie. Fabulous.

How lovely Marjorie! It’s a great relationship between grandparents and their little ones and you’ve captured it here.

Lovely Marjorie. It’s a case of less is more in this sketch.

Wonderful sentimental drawing Marjorie, tells a story itself.

I agree with the above comments, Marjorie: this is lovely. Beautiful drawing, great and original idea.

What a fabulous sketch Marjorie, you have really captured the closeness of the two of them. Beautiful work.

Understated clever drawing Marjorie. Will you be entering the Open comp this year? I do hope so, hardly any of us regulars bother for some reason - I know it's a lot of effort getting the stuff there and back if you're selected. I'm entering six in on the LP category - you can only enter one of them this year, LP or TA I'm on about, so I thought I'd have more chance in the amateur class, which of course I am.

Wonderful drawing Marjorie, you really have captured a special moment that all of 'we grandfathers' cherish so much. Ahem, one for Patchings perhaps?

Very suggestive charcoal, Marjorie.

Thankyou for all the positive comments everyone. Alan, I will be entering, it's something to work towards but I've no idea yet what it'll be. Ha ha Russell - my sketches wouldn't stand a chance against yours! So, whatever I enter, it won't be sketches.

Lovely charcoal sketch Marjorie.

Clever lady...super pic.

That's good Marjorie, get cracking soon as the deadline is mid April! And good luck 🍀.

Superb work, Marjorie. I like the way the Grandpa fades into the shadows. This shows that the simplest media can produce marvelous work.

Absolutely brilliant Marjorie!

ThanksCarole, Sylvia, Alan ( and for the 4 leaf clover!), Lewis and Satu.

Sensitively captured. Lovely work, Marjorie.
