It’s beautifully done Marjorie.

Thanks Paul, it’s nice to sit on a bench and sketch, very relaxing.

Really like this Marjorie

A very good hour indeed

Lovely Marjorie.

Excellent result Marjorie.

Super drawing Marjorie.

We've had several monochrome postings lately, and I like to see them - they often contain hidden depths which aren't immediately obvious: that mysterious arch and doorway in this case; I don't know the building, but that doesn't matter at all - I can invent stories about it!

Thanks again all. Robert, I’ll tell you that the small stone “chamber” at the start of the bridge ( leading out of the village but now just a footbridge and dating back hundreds of years ) was a jail and I think only used for short periods, maybe overnight. Warkworth castle was the home of Harry Hotspur.

Harry Hotspur being Henry Percy, Duke of Northumberland.

Didn’t know the historical content Marjorie but love this very intuitive sketch and of course, it’s instantly recognisable to me.

Lovely tones and highlights Marjorie. I really like that you’ve added a little spice with your historical notes.
