Lovely tonal work Marjorie...really love the way you have highlighted the folds in the fabris.

Really lovely, the fabric and the vase great highlights. The window pane is so effective too Marjorie.

Lovely still life drawing Marjorie, I don't see any problem with your watercolours...

Would be prod to have this on my kitchen wall.
cheers
peter

Whew Marjorie stunning watercolour masterly

You're all great at bolstering the confidence!

Lovely washes and tonal work Marjorie....great practise too!

Superb Marjorie really like it so much it must be good I thought it was one of Dennis's paintings and I rate Dennis , and you Marjorie.

Thanks Glennis, and I wish I COULD paint like Dennis, Dennis. ( I've just seen all the rhymes here!)

For someone who says watercolour is not their forte this is stunning Marjorie.

Beautiful work Marjorie.

You seem to have got the values just right Marjorie. It always amazes me how white paint indoors is in fact so dark when you really look, and you've got it spot on.

Thanks Val, Sarah and Sharon. You're right Sharon, it's only when you look afterwards that it feels it works. At the time of painting it always looks too dark to me but what you say about values is the key - it's how it works with the other things in the painting for it to look convincing. It's much easier in oil or acrylic.
