Lovely work marjorie love all you do .

Marjorie I've never tried any papers like this but it's giving a lovely mottled effect, looks great.

Thanks Dennis and Roland. I wanted it to be more vibrant, I'm just using pans, perhaps tubes would be better.

Was the paper tinted? I find that when I use an off white paper the image I paint is dull , not so in this case I hasten to add . A lovely sense of distance in this Marjorie.

Beautiful

I've never heard of it Marjorie but it looks interesting. I must admit that your foreground washes do look a bit week, big and bold is the answer as you say, but very useful paper all the same, I must give it a go.

Beautiful Marjorie papers are very difficult I like it

It's a lovely piece, Marjorie. I like the subtle look and mottled effect. It's very painterly.

I did this a while ago on Jackson's "dried in the sun" paper, made in India. Texture is thick and soft and I suspect my washes were too weak - they sank in! Has anyone else used it? Big and bold is probably the method. Must admit, I haven't used it since.
