Great job on the metal Marjorie with its strong tonal values. I see what you mean about the cabbage. It's tonal value is very subtle. However the answer it to use artistic licence and bag some strong tone in.

Thanks John - I'll probably do that, right now I've had enough of it! Now it's on to something different and in acrylic.

Nice work Marjorie. Leaving aside the cabbage, the pot is wonderfully painted with lovely reflections and variety of tones.

Super work on the pan Marjorie. The painting has a sort of dream-like quality to it.

Thanks Cesare - I've amended the cabbage a little.

Thankyou Frank - perhaps by the end I was in a trance, that cabbage was nearly the end of me!

A nice composition Marjorie and some clever tonal work whIch shines through.

Oh dear! You're so good at these and many other subjects. Feel like giving up. Smashing.

Marjorie your artwork is just mazing, I love your pot its just brilliant

That pan is fantastic..

Thanks Michael, I love doing Still Life. Derek, stop it! Get that Still Life of yours finished! And Thankyou Jenny and Peter.

I love it all Marjorie, from the pan to the cabbage. I have a lovely photo of a cabbage taken at the Harrogate Flower Show several years ago, maybe I won't be trying to paint it now.

Lovely work

This is so good Marjorie, I like the reflective look on the pan in fact it is all good.

Thanks for commenting Adele, ( go on! Get it painted! The air was blue by the time I'd finished). And thanks, too, Helen and Carole.

Really good work Marjorie!

Wow, the texture of the metal is wonderful. Diana

Beautiful Marjorie. Fab reflections on saucepan!!

Great composition, very evocative. Lovely work, Marjorie!

Diana, Jennifer, Seok - thankyou, thankyou and thankyou!

Oil on MDF, 12" X 16", I won't say what I called that cabbage by the end!
