Really like these still life's . The lace with a hint of blue and Ivory looking is lovely. Really nice work Marjorie.

That is what it's all about Marjorie follow your instincts

Well I think you are getting better and better with these still lifes Marjorie.

Great pastel, Marjorie, that still life seems still...living.

Thanks Andre....and Dennis.
And thanks Carole, it's interesting to add changes to something done a while ago. I suppose it does indicate progress of a sort (I hope).
And Cesare - ha ha!

I thought this was an oil when I first looked Marjorie, it has the quality of oils, beautifully worked.

Lovely still life Marjorie. Love the details of the doillie.

Fantastic, Marjorie. Wonderful detail on the lace!

Such a beauty Marjorie! I'm sure there's still demand for this kind of classic still life, they will never die, they just go out of fashion for a while and come back again. And as you said, who cares as long as you enjoy painting these!

That's beautiful Marjorie , the background and the shadow from the glass bring this image to life , excellent

Thanks everyone, l do appreciate it.

Marjorie, I really love the way you handle and create such texture and softness at the same time. I can almost see the stitches in the cloth and the way the light falls on the creases. You've got my full attention, enjoying this, thank you.

Hi Marjorie , thank you for commenting on my latest , it's painted in oil but unfortunately in the options when I hit oil ink comes up instead 😢

Thank you Sarah and Roland.

You definitely excel at these, Marjorie! Lovely work, with beautiful lost and found edges and wonderful textures.

An old pastel with a few added touches. Took this out of the frame to use the mount on something new. Then thought...uggh, needs more colour etc. Talk on the Forum has been about what sells at the minute, well, this wouldn't, not fitting the " zeitgeist". But, hey, ho, l think I might go back to these because I like doing them and that's what it's all about.
