Paul, thank you very much, and Lewis, Fiona, Tony, Russell, Cesare and David, too. Does anyone have a battery eraser? I tried one out when I was doing this and it ran away from me! Maybe it's best used on larger pieces.

Love the gentle, attention and care your granddaughter is paying to the cat. A charming drawing full of feeling and love Marjorie. The cheaper battery eraser works fine for me. Bought an expensive one but it fell to bits.

A beautiful sensitive drawing, the battery operated rubber has worked well, they take a little time to get used to and I find if you use it like a pencil it gives you more control. Mine came with two different size rubbers, fine and medium.

Linda, Margaret, Carole and Heather - thanks very much for the comments. Linda, I must have the cheap eraser, only one size rubber and it vibrates very strongly. Couldn't seem to control it, it had a mind of its own! Ordered it from Jackson's. May look to see whether there is another make.
