This painting was done after a personal close call out in the mountains of the Karacoram, it is in a way my tribute to all hill walkers and mountaineers who went out on the hills but stayed there. I used my old wooden shafted ice axe as a prop and wanted this very clear and solid and of this world and the rest of the painting, kind of in between worlds, it may be a bit morbid, but its my little tribute.
