excellent

Thanks for that Paul much appreciated.

What a novel idea Malcolm! This will be a great reminder of this particular walk when you go out to relax in the sunshine with your coffee......when you had that fit looking body...lol!! Will you be looking around the garden to see what else you can transform? I have a large garden of which some of it is still field, each year I transform it from pasture grass to another garden. This year I'm doing a dry river bed type garden with lots of boulders ( I have a farmer friend with a huge stone pile) and grasses etc. I have some slabs of stone that I thought to paint with something....at first I thought abstract type subjects, to stand in amongst the planting but perhaps local landscape subjects might work after seeing this example Malcolm. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks for that Fiona, I have a reasonable garden but not like yours, but I designed mine so you have to walk it to find things, I do not believe you should be able to see all of a garden standing in one place, I have lots of tree stumps and rock scattered around and three cascades I have built, more to be heard than seen, I am lucky in that horticulture is one of my qualifications and I did work on a farm in my youth for a time and when I was At school in the holidays so I love nature.

That sounds like my kind of garden Malcolm.....I'm afraid I am more than a little obssessed with my garden. I wish I could put the same work and dedication into art!lol

Sounds as though We would make a good working team Fiona lol. By the way I have used acrylics on stone work previously in the garden and then varnished over and it seemed quite effective, but I suppose you can use stone paint as well.

What a great idea, Malcolm! ! Also, thank you for your comment on my birds. I shall try another painting with buds on the branches as you suggested.xx

Thanks for that Jennifer much appreciated.

Hi Malcolm I have been watching a program Forest, Field and Sky: Art out of nature. And I thought of you straight away. I just loved it.And I think you would too. You can find it on iplayer,

Thanks for that info John, I will check it out. I am both surprised and pleased that it struck a memory cord about my work, thanks.

John I ve watched the program and I now understand why you said you thought of me, not so much my work but probably my belief and love of the wild world, thanks for letting me know.

I may have not posted much work latley but I have been busy, but I did get a new garden Arbour seat with a boring brown back, so I decided to do an Acrylic landscape to brighten it up based on the area on the tops above Edale looking away towards the decent via Jacobs Ladder in the distance.

About the Artist

I have always loved the outdoors and have climbed and walked in various places in the world, after giving numerous slide shows and talks about my trips to raise money for charity, i realised the slides and photos did not do what i saw justice, so I decided to start trying to paint. I am self taught…
