I was standing across the road when you were painting this. Three young pipers were playing outside the shop and I felt sure they would be your focus. Now I realise you were right to have ignored them. They would have detracted from the impact of the building. Love the painting.

A wonderful combination of a terrific building plus it being a high class delicatessen and dog friendly cafe. A winner all round. This one done 'en plain air', in my sketch book, and as seems to be the norm when you set up in town, I ended up with quite a crowd wanting to know "what are doing?" usually followed up by lots of questions. All part of the fun for me.
