It took 3 weeks to paint this from a tinkered reference. It is the Bird of Paradise flower (Strelitzia) and it was a real puzzle (Soduku). It really helped me with spatial awareness, colour and form so it turned out to be a useful exercise in the end. It also stretched my brush pens and my brain to their limits! 🤣🤔😂
