This is lovely, Lynne - the light on the water, the different rocks and the gentle colours of the foreground - very special, and what a thoughtful gift for your husband.

Thank you. This little painting is probably the only one the only one that he wouldn't willingly part with! He is very long suffering and puts up with numerous part finished paintings everwhere, whilst I wait for inspiration. I usually have lots on the go at once.

The view from the House on the Shore at Arbigland. I painted this very quickly while we were staying there, as a present for my husband,who spent all his childhood holidays roaming this bit of coastline.
