Well done on the sale - I like the bleakness of this; it appeals to my romantic soul!

This is lovely Lynn. The orangey grasses in the foreground balance out the bleakness of the farm buildings and the whole painting works well. I like your technique when painting such grassy areas.

Well no wonder you sold this watercolour ! It has e real sense of Bleakness and isolation but remains an extremely attractive Painting. Very nce handling of the medium.

Congratulations its lovely Lynne.

Great painting Lynne

Congratulations, Lynne. This is really well deserved. Beautiful painting, I love it!

Thank you for the kind comments. I do tend to be attracted to 'lonely' places, and rarely put figures in my paintings. Come to think of it there arn't many buildings either....just grass and trees!

Very nicely handled Lynne, good composition too with the open gate inviting us to 'walk' to the house. As Louise has said, the orangey foreground does add warmth to the scene. I am not surprised this one sold!

I love this. You have captured the bleakness, but have a good balance with the warm foreground.

This painting was exhibited at Patchings, and subsequently sold at Leek Arts Festival, so that was a nice suprise. I love painting in the Peak District, and the isolated farms fascinate me, although they look very bleak in the winter.
