Lynne if could paint watercolours like this I would I would think I was in heaven [see my Woodland portfolio you will know why then ]---- --- Lynne at the moment I live in Nottingham but was born in Kirkby-in-Ashfield Notts. - having said that I did live in Derbyshire for 25 years-- near Alfreton----- First got to know Derbyshire -- age 11 in 1950 on a school walking holiday -have been going back ever since- - can not keep away- its only 15 miles into Matlock---- I have walked all over this land of ours from Lands End to John-o Groats but there is nothing like Derbyshire--- enjoy your painting- CHAS

Excellent technique. I'd love to be able to paint shadows like this.

This was a winner in the Leisure Painter catagory at Patchings, so I was delighted, and very encouraged. It is a very steep narrow lane very close to us, and I have painted it several times, in varying lights.
