You are very talented Louise, I like your abstract style and your palette colours, this one is another beautiful watercolour

Was it a pink gin by any chance?? Love the colours as usual.

Ann, how did you know ?....

I like the new colour slant - pink is great. This painting has a different feel to it as the houses seem closer to you. Great overall design and the colour combinations are inspired. P.S. I am trying to catch up as I have been on holiday for a week with NO INTERNET access - nightmare!!!! How do people cope without it??

Nothin like a stiff drink! (for any reason) I love these, Keep posting.

I agree with the above comments, Louise: beautiful!. Pitty a stiff drink is no use for my pure pen drawings, maybe I should give it a try, one never knows!!!

Another lovely one, Louise. The overlay of pink makes this one very strong. Keep painting. Jx

Louise, this is just so lovely...colour, design, allotment of shapes and space...all combine to make a delightful composition. Love it.

Many thanks, Thea, Carole, Mia, Kirstie,Jean and Ruth. Kirstie, it's a combination of cling film and bubble wrap. It got a bit messy as I kept disturbing it to see how it was looking ! Think the bubbles on the bubble wrap were too large. I'll have to see if Asda have any finer wrap under their fruit and vege :} !

Just seen this....an artist after my own heart.....was the stiff drink a Pink Gin by any chance?? (lol) Love the use of the pink and the design works well.

Have a couple more stiff drinks, Louise - the results are great!

Many thanks Alan and Seok ! Alan, pink's good ! Seok, I don't need encouragement !!!:}

I can only agree with Seok the stiff drink works wonders, : ) I haven't looked in for a while or painted as I am a bit crook but this is lovely and I felt I had to comment on your ' first ' watercolour , a lovely subtle painting and amazing for a first, well done Louise.

Thank you William and hope that you'll soon be better.

watercolour 30 cm x 42 cm This painting has been taped to the board for weeks! I wasn't happy with it and rather than discard it I thought I'd make some changes ! Out came the cling film, the pink paint and a stiff drink . This is the result. I'm not sure ....
