How lovely to see a completely different slant on painting lillies with inventive colours and such a complimentary background. I love the compositions with the flowers fading off the page - it is very effective at making the viewer really look at the subject.

Thank goodness for Thea, she has put it perfectly in words what I was thinking :) Just love those colours!

Many thanks David, Pat and Thea. I'll have to have another go at these lilies which although have a slightly yellow tinge in real life, would look better white. A job for tomorrow I think by which time they might have opened a little!!
