I think landscapes are more you than your portraitsLouise . This is just delightful... I want to walk into this.

Louise, this is gorgeous ! I love everything about it. I like the suggested architectural shadow across the lower section and the rolling landscape beyond it. I also love your choice of palette and the way that the density of the tones on the left and centre balance the sweep (of the hills?), on the right. It's great! Out of curiosity, what size is it?

Thanks Lionel! It's just a small idea, using a hake brush, which I did this morning 8 in x 11 in but I've realized that it could look good large scale and I'm off to stretch some paper. Encouraging comments like yours are what I enjoy about this site. I have some idea of what to do next!!

Beautifully simple and clean watercolour landscape. I do like the shapes you have created and the off centre focal point. The colours are delicious - so soft and so wonderfully blended. That ribbon of pink running across the painting is genius. A wonderful painting, Louise, absolutely love it.
