This is a patchwork quilt!! At the end of a sunny day!! I love it!! What size is that Louise?

Thanks Angi, not exactly sure of size, it's in a gallery at the moment, but think 36 cm x 36 cm approx. I never know what to call them, "end of a sunny day" would have been better! I'll remember that next time!

lol i have sold a couple of paintings to family members but that's as far as i have got!! x

I like the colours in this Louise, the diagonal curves echo the hills makes it so interesting.

This is a nice painting, great colours and unusual composition, well done

Thanks Kirstie, Carole and Petra. Kirstie, thought you'd like the trees! :)

I do love these paintings as there is so much to look at and enjoy. The palette you use gives me a real buzz. That smooth dark sky with the orange moon is genius.

Lovely piece again..

Marvellous yet again Louise, how do you start a painting like this ? , Oh! of course its watercolour so it's got to be planned out completely before you start to paint, very clever and not me at all : ) I will have to stck with my very forgiving acrylics.

I had the same thought as Angi - a lovely patchwork quilt, and your colors are absolutely stunning.

Thanks Thea, Ping , William and Seok. William, to be honest I dont spend much time planning, I have absolutely no patience. The end result is always a surprise. Thea, the sky started off as a pale colour. it looked abit "wishy washy" to me and went darker and darker as the painting progressed. I've just noticed that my buildings dont look vertical, the church is leaning badly! This is the photo, they are vertical in real life!
