This is great Louise, brilliant glass in watercolour, thanks for your lovely comment on my latest dog pastel portrait of the Golden Labrador

This is the good one - bolder colour and it really looks like glass. Well done for trying a very tricky subject.

No no - do more ! It's lovely !

It's lovely, do more! How big is it? Thanks for your message, you are right, I delivered the other one at 8.30 this morning. It's not on the gallery anymore - lots of frantic title changing lol. Thanks for your help, and I have everything crossed for you - I'm looking forward to admiring your work first hand in the RA :)

Have to agree with what's been said - it's really good!

Thank you Ros, Thea, Beverley, Lesley and Debs. Yesterday was one of those days when I found myself wondering what to paint next. Something different? My eye was caught by this perfume bottle which has now been put back on the dressing table! Glass is difficult and I confess that the photo of it looks rather better than the actual painting. It's good though to try something different and rather satisfying when the result isn't too bad. lol Lesley, I'm not holding my breath!

Hi Louise, this is a nice idea and a depature from your other work which is always a pleasure to see. There is a sort of sophistication about this which I like.

It is good Louise, a subject that defeats me, so very well done.

I like it for its simplicity. It's got weight. Colours are good.

Thank you David, Glennis and Gudrun. David, it's probably the title that makes it look sort of sophisticated. Had I called it a 'bottle of scent', you might not have felt the same way about it. It just goes to show the importance of a decent sounding title, something I'm usually rubbish at! ..lol

Very brave to try glass in watercolour Louise! Very good result, you can be proud of yourself!

It was a struggle but I tried to paint a glass perfume bottle this afternoon. This one is the better of the two that I did and there won't be a third. Far too difficult a subject for me!
