This is a very enjoyable picture to view, Louise. There are many separate and individual parts to this painting but they are all held together by your own interesting and unique style. Well done.

The colour combinations are really eye catching. Looks very complicated to put one of these paintings together Louise.

Great piece again..keep posting.. it is delightful to view..

I agree with everyone it is another beautiful painting, great colours and really nice composition

Great! Some of your paintings ought to be printed onto fabric...they would make great duvet covers, cushions etc... I'd buy one!

You have such a talent for putting colours together, beautifully done.

They are all right, I agree 100% with their comments. Keep on posting, Louise, we all enjoy the beautiful results of your fantasy!!!

Kirstie. It didn't take too long, can't say exactly as I often put them to one side and go back to them. This particular painting started life in blue shades. It was framed but I wasn't really happy with it. I took it out of the frame and with a hake brush put a criss cross wash all over in orange. Fortunately it worked and brought it to life I think! It was a bit risky and I was scared of ruining it :} It isn't as detailed as some of the paintings I see here. I have little patience and work quickly! Really it's just blocks of colour and it just evolved. Thanks for info on cling film!

Stephen, I trained as a textile designer!

I don't remember this one, if you did post it before; and I think I probably would remember it.... a very warm and cheering painting; however "unrealistic" your paintings look, or you say (elsewhere) they look, I always feel the place is very real.... if that makes any sense at all... Well, it is past my bedtime. Anyway - like it!

I agree with Stephen, your paintings would make lovely curtains for children's rooms. They are dreamlike and cheerful at the same time.

Thank you Robert and Satu.

Great colors and composition, Louise. Very much in your inimitable style, yet always fresh and never boring.

Congratulations on your top ten successes! :)

Super painting - no wonder it is in the Top Ten. Has it struck you that a lot of the paintings this month are very colourful - perhaps colour is coming back in fashion!

Well done and well deserved having two in the Top Ten!

What fantastic news! I am so pleased for you and what a lovely name Annabel is. You must be delirious with joy and excitement. I certainly was when my first grandson was born. I would love to see a photo of the baby - is there anyway you can post one? I don't know if you use the forum and have a email facility on POL, but you can contact me via that if you would like. I think it is about time you launched into portraits as I find painting babies so rewarding.

Lovely work Louise! i haven't been on here for a while so sorry if i have not commented....

watercolour 46 cm x 46 cm It's possible that I posted this here last year. I'm actually not sure but it isn't in my gallery where it belongs! If you remember seeing it before then I apologise !!
