Really like this Louise....it's buzzin!! I like the use of the raw umber-ish colour for some of the skin tones, links in where you have used it in the background.

A real hubbub going on here Louise, very lively!

You've captured the nature and characteristics of 'the street' Louise. It looks like a place to be. Great colours and washes.

Many thanks Fiona, Carole and Michael. It's watercolour and ink. That raw umber is ink Fiona. I only had two colours to choose from. That plus blue :)

I absolutely love it Louise! It's full of life and the figures are just smashing.

Many thanks Satu. I wasn't sure to be honest but I'm beginning to feel better about it :)

Your paintings are always interesting Louise.

Thank you Frank. I like to try out different ways of working and suppose I'm still learning!

I agree with the above comments, Louise: stunning, lively, wow!!!

Thanks Mia. I think the bright inks added to the 'lively' effect :)

You really have cracked this expressive style Louise, showing great confidence as always in your drawing. Time perhaps to push for another page in TA... I have one going into the September edition, hope it a worthy addition.

I also agree with the others that this is full of life and the use of colour draws you through the painting,

Thank you Gudrun and Alan. I'm looking forward to receiving my September issue now Alan. It's so nice to see a different artist's work instead of the usual ones in there. It'll definitely be a very good edition :)

As mentioned in many comments there is loads of life here . Particularly like the profile of the lady in the foreground

A great picture. , different to the other pictures you have in the gallery

Many thanks David and Brian. I like to try different ways of working Brian. It's that painting 'journey' that people talk about I suppose :)

Absolutely gorgeous, Louise! Great atmosphere and palette, loads of energy and all those wonderfully scribbly lines. Superb work!

Wonderful style in drawing and adding the right colours in the right paces, but not necessarily in the right order.
