This is brilliant - really wonderfully well drawn (especially with just a rigger) and the colours are so juicy and rich. The dark background gives the feeling that this is in a night club with all the girls dancing away (no handbags in sight!) - great atmosphere. These rigger drawn works are just getting better and better, P.S. I would love to see the original - I bet it is even more impressive.

That's a big sheet of paper to be drawing with a rigger Louise, I'm impressed! I always work on a small scale myself. The girls seem to be having a good time don't they, a few seem to leaping in the air. Did you frequent the disco in Spring Gardens in your youth? I can't remember much of those days - perhaps just as well!

Really nice Louise (almost jewel like)- and I think going larger has worked. PS I saw one of your paintings today in the Portland Street gallery in Manchester - very vibrant in real life - superb

Can almost hear Freddie in the background singing ' having such a good time!'

Another gorgeous piece, Louise, so full of joie de vivre! I agree with Joseph, jewel-like is a really apt description for your paintings!

Full of life, excitement and colour, you can feel the buzz!

It's all been said - a fun posting to wake up to this morning.

Many thanks Thea, Stephen, Joseph, Debs, Seok,Christine and Michael. What lovely comments you've all left! Stephen, I spent many happy times in 'Rowntrees Spring Gardens' in my misspent youth and I remember catching the last bus home! 'Time and place' , near the cathedral was another favourite where I actually met my husband. Married now for nearly 40 years!

Look like they are waiting to go on the catwalk Louise, so excited!!

Excellent as they say Louise

Thank you Carole and Dennis!

Happy ( if a little fuzzy) memories Louise. At least you remember the name, Rowntrees! A few of us used to travel there in a friends old Ford Anglia, pre MOT and breathalyser days, amazed we survived!

I'm not sure just how we survived those pre breathalyser days either Stephen!

FAB Love it, this ain't a quick painting, I know love crowds of Wags

I'm not sure why it is, but sometimes I just have to prove to myself that I can paint a subject that I've done before but on a much larger scale. Perhaps it's my own personal challenge..can I go larger?.. Straight in with the rigger brush again. 20 in x 30 in.
