Great eyes closed brushwork Louise.

Thank you Carole. Not eyes closed though .. The one line thing is encouraging us to try different ways of painting I think and painting is fun at the moment, stress free almost!

I think this is better than the earlier version, softer and more romantic

These are getting a bit steamy, Louise! What have you been thinking about, lol! This is super and conveys so much lurve between the two and is, as Kevin says, very romantic. The washes of colour are just right. I think you are right to keep on pushing the boundaries of this experiment because if you try to stick too rigidly to the 'rules' you could end as constrained as you were before the challenge started (by 'you' I mean all of us).

Many thanks Carole, Kevin and Thea, any steam is accidental..LOL

More than steamy I find it infnitely tender Louise. I like the unusual palette and the evocative glow of that blush.

A nice light touch to this one Louise!

Wonderful push and pull of the merging washes, Louise! Very vibrant and full of mood.

Thank you Kim, Debs and Seok. I actually used a photo from a magazine as a ref for this. It was an advert for a mobile phone of all things which I would never have considered if it wasn't for the one-line drawings. I was quite pleased with the merging washes on their faces as I'm no good at portrait type painting. All good practice I feel !

All I want for Xmas is a new mobile, a new mobile, yes, a new mobile... This started to play in my head when I read your comment Louise and now I cannot get rid of it!! I'm sure that this painting looks much better than the advert! I like it very much and the merging of the colours is just great.

A bit of an experimental sketch really, using the brush as I did the pen, without looking too much until I added the washes which explains the hand! The plan is to paint something similar but much larger. This one measures 6 in x 7 in
