Wow Louise, this is fantastic! It may be drawn with one line and without looking but it is so distinctively your style! I have to go out for a few hours now which is so annoying as I'm itching to do another one liner!

Lively figures Louise, perhaps due to the continuous line?

Great figures and you are right about the suprise you do get when you actually 'see' it!

If you did this in one line without looking at the paper - then it is amazing!! Very, very impressed. I am going to have another go tonight (first free moment in 3 days!).

Thanks for commenting Christine, Stephen, Debs and Thea. I didn't look at the paper Thea while drawing and concentrated on the figures in the image in front of me I was using as a reference. The line broke when it came to the legs, my verticals ran off the bottom of the sheet so I had to guess approximately where to continue. I was surprised myself at the result but the whole thing came together once the paint was added. Memory has a lot to do with drawing like this I think.

This is really inspirational, Louise.

It was Thea who started this off Sian but than you for your kind words!

Superb! They go so well together, there is movement, expressions and a wonderful feeling of freedom. I think this has opened a whole new dimension to work on sketches. Next step is to try bigger versions with a brush?!

That hadn't occurred to me Satu, I shall do. ( one step at a time..a bit bigger.. LOL)

This is great.Particularly like the space between the fineliner and the watercolour.

Great outcome Louise - worthy of a frame any day.

Thanks David and Michael, sadly Michael, it only measures 5 inches square, drawn on a scrap of left over paper. I'm not sure whether I could do this any larger but will perhaps try !

What hand/eye co ordination you must have to produce this without looking at the paper, I'm in awe :)

Another super piece, Louise - quirky, vibrant and spontaneous. Super work!

What a wonderful result Louise! The thing I notice most with all our one liners is how the results are a much more relaxed composition ! Lovely:)

Figures copied from an old painting of mine. I resisted the temptation to look at the paper when drawing and kept mostly to one pen line. Eyes and paint added whilst looking! Such a surprise when you actually look at what you've drawn and I can recommend that you try it..
