Thanks Dennis. I wasn't specifically trying for modern, but I'm trying to overcome my fear of colour and this is all part of the learning process.

This one is for my stepfather. Temple Bar is one of the old gateways to the City of London, and stood on the Strand where the Law Courts are. It was demolished in the 1870s, and bought by Lady Meux, of the brewing family. She re-erected it at her home, Theolbalds Park in Hertfordshire, where it stood at the head of the drive and hosted some quite riotous parties, so we're told. It remained there until 2003, when it was demolished carefully, and then rebuilt at the entrance to Paternoster Square, literally in the shadow of St. Pauls'. I took my step father to see in Theobalds Park literally the day before demolition started, and we've had an interest ever since. This is based on an original oil painting, and done with acrylics on canvas board.
