Love the palette you have used - sort of warm and restful. (Thanks for your kind comments on mine.)

I love barns and these are wonderful.

I agree they are super, what a great job you made of them Lionel, great colours

Great choice of palette - works well

Thank you so much, Ann, Dawn, Ros and Michael. You each know how much I appreciate your comments. I certainly need all the encouragement I can get these days! Now that I see it posted here, I think the pic. looks better in real life, because, I think the camera flash has flattened out contrasts. Anyway, there you have it. Thanks again for looking and commenting.

When I see paintings like this Lionel it brings it home to me how mundane and ordinary my pictures are....not to mention boring, as all I seem to paint are trees!! This is full of skill; the choice of palette which is warm and mellow and I love the depth in the shadow of the open barn. It's a great subject and so well painted. X

Beautiful glazes on the barns, nice Summery atmosphere Lionel.

Thank you Fiona and Carole very much indeed. I'm sure all regular users of this site will agree that your paintings are never boring, Fiona, nor are they mundane. They are beautifully done and well received by us all. And as for subject matter - more trees, please, and luscious skies. And Carole, more of your exquisite flower portraits, please.

The barns are a lovely colour Lionel and the painting has a quiet, still early morning feel about it.

Thank you, Louise. I have been looking at your recent figure paintings but I find it now virtually impossible to comment on all the work that one likes. There is simply too much of it!

A splendid piece, Lionel. Love the transition of colors and the lovely, bright atmosphere.

Thank you Lionel, you are very kind!

This popped out. I love this one Lionel. the composition and use of colour is just right to make it intriguing for me.

Lovely colours in the barn walls and super blending of all the different shades which has made what could have been very boring walls into a thing of beauty. Lovely flash of light between the barns adds to the overall effect.

Thank you s much Seok, Gudrun and Thea. As always, I do appreciate your comments.
