Ah - the low horizon, eh? Really atmospheric and beautiful painting, Lionel. I would have definitely have said that this was a watercolour, so you have achieved your objective. Super sky and very nice balance to the composition.

Yes , this is a beautiful painting , almost Turnerish, and the frame compliments it well.

Thea said all, this is a very nice piece..and it is done with the acrylics..amazing..

A lovely, calm and reflective painting. Alan comes and goes - deletes his gallery from time to time, toying with our affections... I like this particularly because although inspired by Alan's work, it's very much your own. (And like you, I hope he comes back again.)

Well, Lionel, I can see if I take notice of all your tips and advise I should, by the end of it, turn out a wonderfully planned and executed painting like this. Fabulous sky Lionel!!!

Well, thanks to all of you for your feedback. I always appreciate the comments from Thea, Eddy , Robert and Fiona. I always look out for your comments in particular. Many thanks also to FRED. I am not sure if we have met before or not, but, anyway, Turnerish !! I love it ! You can come again.

The colour mix is absolutely fantastic, Lionel - and the composition a good example of less is more. Oh envy - - - -

Thank you, Jorgen. You, too, have a fascinating gallery. I love your boats and sea pictures.

I think you posted this beautiful painting during my holiday, because I missed it. I agree with all the above comments, Lionel: this is so beautiful and atmospheric! love it! Thank you for your comment on my work, I appreciate!

With thanks to Alan Owen. (Where has he gone??). Once again I have tried to render a water colour view by actually painting it using acrylics, (not by diluting them).
