Just lovely, and I know the pressure when you are doing it for a special reason.

I think this is really lovely. The light and everything is wonderful. I really hope the lady in question is pleased with it. Well done.

A lovely tribute for his widow and so well executed lionel.

You have, as Dawn says, captured the light and heat with the glistening sea just right. I am sure it will be viewed with pleasure.

What pressure to get it just right Lionel.....which you have! The movement and sparkle in the water, the rocks are full of texture and are brilliant. It has already been mentioned above, you can feel the heat. Excellent Lionel.

Thank you all very much indeed for your comments above. Yes, Dawn, the lady was very pleased with the result....which in turn pleased me! Thought I might get back into painting after such a long time away but, regrettably, it is not to be. Today, my wife seriously hurt her back. Went to the local medical clinic, but I am taking her to a chiropractor tomorrow morning. Hopefully, see you all again soon!

Hi Lionel - well I think you done well here and sorry to hear about your wife. hope she soon recovers

Beautiful and peaceful.

Thank you Lesley. Yep, it is now it's finished!

This is gorgeous Lionel, what a super painting of a rocky outcrop going out into the sea

Lionel, this is really lovely. The quietness and tranquillity of the scene is palpable, not to mention is is a pretty good painting as it is!

A beautiful and peaceful painting, and a wonderful reminder of happier days.

A place on the Costa Blanca where a recently deceased friend used to fish and where his ashes were scattered. His widow asked me to paint this from a photograph and I have never found anything in my (painting) life as stressful as this. It took me ages trying to get it just right - which I didn't but it is pretty close.
