Beautiful painting Linda, nice composition, like the light of the painting

Great technique and image

I love this painting, Linda. As Petra above, I think the overall composition and the lighting are just perfect. I also like the story of how you arrived at the finished article. Well done!!

lovely and atmospheric, wish l was there! it looks so sunny and warm!

Well-observed. I used to work in Yarmouth, but will spare you my views of the yachting fraternity, who may have changed a little since the days when I had to search out the charts the clueless blankety-blanks demanded, and usually failed to understand. Bless them all..... and I wish I'd owned a small U-boat....

This painting is quite 'uplifting' , fresh and clean and 'free'. A joy to just look at.

A lovely painting - great light and atmosphere.

Lovely airy fresh feel to this painting, and a super composition. The water moving over the hull is very well painted.

Lovely painting..have to agree with the above comments. Well done.

My apologies for a rather sour response, in retrospect - it was not meant to detract in any way from your painting; I can be a miserable old swine at times....

This is beautiful Linda. I love the strong vibrant colour.

The gleaming white of the hull of the boat and sails really lifts this painting and gives an amazing contrast with the intense blue of the ocean. Striking work.

Wonderful. The light is awesome!

I did this from a photograph I took in 2009 at the end of Yarmouth Pier during the Old Gaffers weekend. I have used a bit of artistic license with this one, there are three people in the boat in the photograph, along with a very large outboard motor. Also, the person on the foredeck was wearing a bright white boiler suit. When I painted them wearing this the picture just didn't look right so I changed them to a jumper and trousers. This one sold at an exhibition this summer,
