This a lovely summery scene and we do need all we can get at the moment with our weather due to return to normal horrid service! Great view down over the green fields to the lighthouse and out to see, just perfect

I remember this lighthouse well. Did a drawing of it on our school journey in May 1950! We stayed at the Channel View Hotel in Shanklin for a whole sunny fortnight. Thanks for the memory, love the painting.

Yet another lighthouse! I do seem to have a thing about painting them, I hadn't realised this until someone pointed it out to me at an exhibition. I have removed a few modern buildings and radio masts from this one, they just didn't fit in. I also removed a foot bridge over one of the stone walls, but I added the boat as it seemed to need something in that area.
