Amazing likeness for the character 'Scrooge' and excellent coloured pencil portrait, his expression of being mean and miserly is shown in his features before he mellows into being benevolent!

Great expression Lewis. It couldn't be anyone other than Scrouge. Love all the detail, especially the way you have done the candle Lewis.

Thank you Angela, Robert, Carole and Dennis for your comments. This is a character I've drawn many times, and probably will again.

As Carole says great detail even down to the liver spots on his hands. Superb.

Despite the whole thing being brilliant, it's the sheer perfection of portraying expressionism that is the crowning glory. Great work Lew.

Quite stunning drawing Lew, a great character who lives on.

What a character, great work as always Lewis, love the expression on his face.

Brilliant work Lewis. I can almost feel the heat from the candle!

Thank you Val, Jim, Alan, Carolyn and Russell for your generous comments.

It's that time of year. My grandson is studying Dickens 'Christmas Carol' at school, we watched the Jim Carey version on TV (My grandson's idea...not the best version of this story, but surprising good...Carey's voice-over was very good). This prompted a couple of drawings from me. Marley already posted.
