Love the inclusion of a very exasperating horse!

Another great sketch.

Very thoughtful, is he worried about the donkey? By the way, I love it. Another very good one.

Fab, looking forward to more from the series

Super, as always!!

Always top drawer characters

What a character! I love the worried/exhausted look on the poor horse knowing he's got to carry eight people. Tom Pierce looks suitably startled as well.

Yet another character brought to life by the wizardry of Lew's imagination. Keep 'em coming.

Excellent Lewis.

Love his popping eyes and the rather sad looking horse Lewis. Great stuff, as always. The small format is very effective.

I do love the small details you include, like the wooden toggle to fasten his smock, also the expression on the old horse’s face, he could do with a decent meal I tink.

Superb picture Lew , looks like the horse I backed yesterday.

Fabulous Lewis. Love Stephen's comment!

Fabulous Lewis.

Great sketch, love the horse!

The answer Tom Pierce should have given was "No! Get your own horse....."; and it looks as though that's the very reply he's considering.

Awesome work Lewis 👏

So characterful Lewis, especially the poor old horse.

Thanks very much to all for your very welcome comments.

Love his smock! Great expression Lewis.

Great imagination and skill.

Did a version of Old Uncle Tom Cobley the other day, thought I'd do all the characters from the folksong in 6 x 4 inch format. This is Tom Pierce, the man who owned the old grey mare. Grey pen, watercolour.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
