Ha Ha I DETECT what the next series will be. If it is half as good as your Dickens series it will great. Looking forward to seeing who you portray.

Here's looking at you, Lewis. Great pic of Sam Spade. Looking forward to Lauren Bacall.

Spot on Bogey, yes look forward to beautiful Bacall Lewis.

A good topic to investigate, its elementary to work out who else will be included... I like your Bogey, kick on Lew.

Ha, Jim is quite content to sit back and watch on this one Lewis. I'm just hoping Dick Barton is in there...Nice start....(-:

Really good pic of Bogey, wonder who will be next....

Thanks very much for your comments. The problem with this kind of concept is that your mind shoots off in different directions. I could, for example, stick with characters from one film, but I think I'll stay with this idea and see how the mop flops. There won't be a Bacall, Carole...she wasn't a detective...more a femme fatale ...see, there's another idea...eight femme fatales??

A brilliant likeness 😀 I think you have him spot on

Fantastic clues abound Lewis. But then again, I'm no detective fan but just simply love seeing all your work!

That title ?...Lew...there's got to be a connection, wonder who. ( I'm a bit slow but I read a lot of thrillers) we all wait in anticipation.

Well youve got many requests Lewis it's gonna be a good one

This has all the makings of another series Lew. Great characters to draw with those rugged looks and of course those hats!

You’ve got to add Sherlock to your panel Lewis......he’s my hero! The palette you’ve chosen here adds that bit of mystery.

Strewth a Sleuth! Bogey man Boggart! what next?

Eight fictional detectives...starting with Sam Spade. I can only think of Bogart in this role, so I thought I'd allow myself one copy, the rest will be imagined. This is not quite there, not quite Bogart, I may give it another go. I tried to find a collective noun for 'sleuths'...there isn't one. So I settled on the catch-all 'slew', which is an old word for 'many', it's also alliterative...and it reminds me of someone's name.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
