I know what you mean Lew! Anyway, cracking drawing!

I haven't quite worked out why the time goes quicker the older you get. I seem to get birthdays every 6 months now !! Anyway a great sketch with such a true message.i

Oh so very true, Lewis! A super sketch!

Smashing. Story of life in a picture Lewis. Brilliant work (-:

I know what you mean Lewis, just got my paints out yesterday for the first time in a week, getting withdrawal symptoms lol, not even had time for the sketchbook, love your sketch this morning, it's so true trying to capture the image you have in your mind and actually putting it down on paper, 😀

This made me smile, Lewis. I know the feeling well.

I think we have all been there.

Thank you for your great comments. I guess we've all been there, we've all got the T shirt.

What a great idea Lewis, I think we all feel like this!

Haha. Reminds me of a blind date I went on as a young man.

I’m experiencing the very same Lewis, and I don’t like it at all! Pick a brush up and put it down again.....aaarrrrrhhhh! I get a distortion of the image between my head and my hand, glad I’m not the only one!

That’s exactly what happens to me.. Clever man.

There’s many a slip between brain and canvas! (Old Chinese proverb!) You have a way of telling stories with your pictures. Excellent.

This is about trying to get the idea in your head down on canvass...it doesn't always work. I guess it happens most when you make things up, but it's there however you paint and draw. A4 sketchbook. Coloured pencil and pen. Don't seem to have a lot of time to paint just lately, thank goodness for sketchbooks.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
