This is illustrated history with a great nostalgic feel. Splendid, keep them coming.

So enjoyable Lew ( and very touching).

Splendid Lew. Can relate to that and love the childish humour. Fine work.

Very emotional Lewis, love the way you’ve got the shadow on the wall and your dad holding the bannister, all so real!

This is going to be a really stunning book, Lewis. Loving every nostalgic minute of it.

I echo the other comments, Lew. This is going to be a great work and I enjoyed this page very much. Bri

Thanks to all for your generous and encouraging comments.

Excellent. Great artwork and nostalgia. As I have said before, I don't comment on all your goodies. Repetition not always good !!!!

A scene that many folk can identify with I'm sure Lewis. Fabulous work.

This is great stuff Lewis, I hadn’t seen the previous pages and have just had a look, what a great idea to preserve your memories in a book full of character and humour. Good luck on your journey.

Really enjoying this 'growing up' book Lewis and I've a feeling that you must be too! I'm actually all smiles that your Dad came home safely. The facial expressions are perfect. Anticipation and joy..it's all there!

So good Lewis! It's wonderful to see this developing so thank you for taking us on the journey with you.

I think that was a typical reaction back then!

Another page for my planned book. I remember well Dad finally coming home ...waiting on the stairs, the shadow thrown up the stairs by the solitary light in the hall (by the front door). And Mum crying. The lovely old house was run-down and needed sorting, I've tried to show the seediness. Well, I've set the stage, and Dad's back home. I've done 4 pages, I was intending to do two pages, then do something else, then go back to this. I'm taking a break now. This is watercolor and pen pictures, assembled in Photoshop. A4 size.
