Fantastic characters Lew all look dubious but I wouldn’t trust that sweet face woman!

All look very dodgy, splendid piece of work.

Great mixture of characters!!

What a posse of brilliantly drawn characters Lewis

Very good dubious male characters and agree the lady looks "too nice" ! Beware of that innocent face !

Another nice piece Lewis.

It’s not the sweet looking woman, that worries me, it’s the one next to her. She has probably got daggers in her toecaps! Brilliant drawing Lewis!

Interestingly sketched features of the ordinary.

Wicked lot .

A lovely bunch indeed. Wouldn’t like to be involved with any of them Lewis so you’ve done your job brilliantly. The woman although attractive has a look of impending evil.

The dubious traits of this shady gang depicted perfectly Lewis.

Brilliant Lewis! They look a dodgy lot.

What an array of suspicious characters! Very well depicted.

Scary lot, so well drawn!

Another great "black and white" Lewis. When you say "pencil" - are you using a range of lead hardness- or just "pressure" ??

Thank you everybody for your response. Mike, this is three pencils...a water-soluble black, I then use clean water and a brush to 'blend' it. Water-soluble pencils behave something like watercolour. When dry, I went over it with an HB and 2B pencils using various pressure.

Dubious characters perhaps, but there is nothing dubious about your work.

I wouldn’t buy a car off them.

Fantastic characterful and brilliant drawing, as always, Lewis

I watched 'The Third Man' again. The film about black marketeering in post-war Vienna. So I drew this, a group of black market types, forgers, crooks and spies maybe...dubious characters. This is just made up, I had no interest in copying the film's actors.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
