The Red Boat

Great work as always Lesley!! Hope you are well and having success with your work:)Linda

Thanks Linda, all good atm, hope you're well too and busy!

Another cracker, Lesley!

You really are the bestest at boats. Great to hear you are so busy.

Another beauty. I had a go at drawing a few boats en plein air. Hilarious!!! Diana

Amazingly calm scene considering you were 'on show', the water is very we'll painted once again.

Beautiful, stunning as usual, Lesley. I am sure you did well at the art fair!

Doesn't matter where it's completed, Lesley, the end result is always stunning! Superb work, love the composition and the sense of movement and energy.

Thanks everyone for such lovely comments :) Hi Sylvia, yes pretty busy and off to Venice in September to paint with a couple of friends, en plein air! (I imagine that most of the results will be wipers ;) Hi Diana, yes they do move about a bit don't they? Hi Stephen, I find it quite difficult to paint and chat at the same time, I forget what I was working on... a good tip - check the colour on your brush when you go back to it :) Hi Mia, can't complain x

Incredibly fantastic Lesley! ( well.. Your boats always are)

Superb as always Lesley. It was great to see you again!

I can hear the lapping water Lesley. Beautiful.

Better late than never...... It's not so easy to follow friends on POL now . I always love your boats and this is no exception, what's more it was painted in public! Bright and breezy, wish I were there!

Hang on Studio Wall

20 x 20 cms oil on panel. Last weekend I took part in an art fair where I had to paint at my stand, like Patchings. This was one of 3 paintings I completed, well not quite ... this one was finished at home.

I love to paint water, with boats, buildings or simply the water in oils. I'm a regular at life drawing sessions where I usually get covered in charcoal!
