Wow, not just super boats and water but lovely figures too. I think they add interest and life to the work, worth pursuing?

NIce painting and my compliments.

Super figures, super painting Lesley!

Stunning, Lesley. Well done on the figures and off course the water and the boat (as usual!). Good luck and success with the exhibition.

Yes good luck with it. This will win prizes and sell.

Fantastic painting Lesley! I love the figures, so skilfully painted too. Very much luck for the exhibition!

It's a privilege to see your work Lesley. As you know I love figurative work and this is exceptional. One day I will see it in the flesh, so to speak.

This is really good ,love the figures

Thanks for all your lovely comments and support, much appreciated :)

Brilliant painting Lesley!

Another great painting Leslie, and the figures are so nicely positioned, love it.

Thanks Carole and Fred :)

The figures are wonderful and so beautifully painted. Another superb piece of work from the Queen of Reflections! Good luck with the exhibition.

Thanks Thea, it's the Hesketh Hubbard Society exhibition at the Mall Galleries, 23-28 June, if anyone is nearby.

Catching up since our travels! This is lovely with beautifully depicted fishermen. Hope the exhibition went well.

Superb Lesley to see people in one your super realistic paintings

Thanks Avril and Ros :)

Beautifully fluid piece, well done.

Dear Leslley: I wander why you paint in a 20 x 20 cm format ?? In my view this sort of work deserve a large format. Please give me your opinion. regards Sergio Morales

Hi Sergio, thanks for your comments and question. I really enjoy painting smaller pieces, although occasionally I do larger ones. I paint alla prima and like to finish a painting in one sitting, occasionally two, so a small format allows me to do this as I'm quite a slow worker.

Stunning work Lesley

20 x 25 cms. Working on a couple of paintings for an exhibition at the end of June, work has to include figures. Enjoyed painting these two fishermen from photos I took a few years ago.

I love to paint water, with boats, buildings or simply the water in oils. I'm a regular at life drawing sessions where I usually get covered in charcoal!
