Wow* thats great, truly a smashing sunset, absolutely and totaly love it, your colours are so vibrant, :)

Beautifully painted, truly a dramatic sunset.

Agree with above, very dramatic and great use of colour.

Thank you so much Karleen, Ruth and Carole for your comments, I value and appreciate them and the time you took to make them. I have this awful refrain that goes through my head all the time "could do better". A hang up from school days when nearly every report ended with "could do better" . So now I strive and strive, clutch my head with frustration sometimes and scream (silently), and always feel I could do better! On the other hand I don't think we ever stop trying to do better, do we? Comments and critiques from fellow artists are invaluable.

Couldn't agree more with the above comments a fantastic sunset indeed

You have a way with oils. Keep it up. We all improve and learn from every painting we do but you paint well. Don't bash yourself up. From another 'could do better' report victim!! My downfall was daydreaming out the window most of the lessons. (Except art of course, when you couldn't kick me out at bell time! Jean

Thank you Patsy and Jean, Africa is full of dramatic skies just asking to be painted, as is Spain and all big countries where there is space and time to watch and wonder. UK is beautiful too in other ways, very green, lots of variety, But when you're used to big skies, UK skies seem very small, or at least that is my impression. Unless you are looking out to sea of course. I shall probably be shot for saying that, I apologise.

Very nice painting Angela, just a fantastic sky! Thank you for your kind comments on my gallery its always good to get feedback. Please forgive me for answering your question about Atelier Interactive Acrylics here but I thought it the best way to contact you! They are different to standard acrylics because of the way they can be reactivated with water even when touch dry. This means that they can blended for much longer if desired or left to dry quickly if you wish to paint over them. This gives the artist much more control over the painting just as you have with oils but without the chemicals or the slow drying time. I recommend them to oil painters for this reason and to water colourists too as they can give water colour effects whilst allowing you to correct errors and reactivate the colours if you wish, they don't cauliflower either! Have a look at Tony Hogan's gallery for more examples, he is far far better than me in all respects as I am a mere a hobby painter!

Hi Gary, thank you for your comment on the sky and for introducing me to Tony Hogan's work. What a fantastic painter he is, not just in acrylics. He's very brae with his colours, and I love the huge energy and pace of his saiIing boats and the crspness of his felled trees. I'll have to give Ateliers another go.
