Guitar Player

Lovely painting! I really like the way you have depicted the player. I wonder where you got your inspiration for the painting? Very, very nice!

Gosh, thank you Raymond for your comments. I live in Spain and love the music, the guitar players, the dancers, the energy and the theatrical drama, but not the flamenco singers I'm afraid, to methey sound like cats caught on hot tin roofs!. I watch as much as I can of the musicians and dancers, both live or on video/dvd, and take photographs or make notes of actions and lighting that particularly catch my imagination. And I then try to paint what's in my head, not always very successfully! My studio (polite word for junk room) has several guitar players and dancers in the process of being painted. Horses, African wildlife, some landscapes and the odd portrait are also hanging around waiting to be completed!
