My Body, My Choice

Not really a topic for discussion on an art site Skylar. We'd just be passing personal judgements on a very difficult subject. Best in another place.

Well I disagree Jim. I read about this in the newspaper Skylar….what an awful situation.

I have 3 sisters. I am pro-choice through their stands. I have always been political. Thanks for your opinion. If I have crossed a line, I'm sure the site will respond.

An emotive image and subject. The world seems an unhappy place at the moment.

This is a very powerful painting and I had no idea what had recently happened and thanks for drawing it to my attention. It is a very thought provoking and imaginative painting. I disagree with Jim. Protest painting has played a significant part in art history and to name just one Picasso's Guernica for example.

Politely art carries an important message Skylar. Women have the right to choose and make their own informed decisions. A powerful image.

That should be political art.

I strongly agree with you Skylar. Jim: how about we apply the 'personal judgement' thing to religious work? (Note: I am not in favour of any bans)

Art reflects life and this is definitely life choice. We shouldn’t shy away from difficult subjects just because they make us uncomfortable. Well done Skylar

Too right Skylar. Thanks for the painting and thanks for the message.

May The Lord bless you all and all your children, grand-children and all the babies that will follow, at this time of time celebrating the birth of Christ. Peace be with you.

I am completely with you on this Skylar! This is exactly the kind of thing that art should be about. Thank you Skylar.

Here in Texas, we are living the actual "Handmaid's Tale". Our Attourney General has just barred another woman from a court-approved abortion to save her own life. It seems to me that women must get more militant...for their own preservation.
