This is incredible.

A splendid sketch with lots of detail.

I am amazed that you would attempt this en plan air. Well done! It is lovely.

Thank you so much for your kind encouragement. It was a pretty quick sketch, close to 45 minutes.

What a gorgeous drawing, well done!

Wow to have done this in 45 minutes, amazing!

Thank you Mia and Anjana for your kind words. I could do this in 45 minutes because it was a pretty rough sketch, but viewers may feel that it has a lot of perceived details.

Super sketch Kwok, it is amazing what you can do in 45 mins if you are under a time limit. When we taught on cruise ships, we often only had 30 to 45 mins to get an image down!!! For you to get the perspective correct in that time is even harder!!! Well done you. Really great drawing skills Kwok

You are really kind, David. You have made my day, thanks !

Brilliant drawing, and to complete in that time. I did a painting of the same site and it took me about 3 days. A terrific place to visit. Congratulations.

Thank you Fred. The Grand Place is so beautiful with all these heritage buildings around it. I love it a lot too!

Brilliant work. We visited it several years ago. Amazing site. Well done.

Fabulous drawing, well done!

Fabulous detailed sketch

Richard, Willie and Romila, thank you all. Really appreciate your kind comments.

Thank you Carole.

Terrific drawing Kwok in such a short time!

Thank you Rachael, I always try to finish a sketch in the shortest possible time, so I would be able to do it a much loose style.

Thank you Russell.

Such a detailed drawing. I love the domes at the top. You must have been absorbed.

Thank you, Val-Irene, you're right, I was totally absorbed within that 45 minutes, it's like a meditation:)

Absolutely delightful 🤩

A plein aire sketch of The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood is a former Russian Orthodox church in Saint Petersburg, Russia which currently functions as a secular museum. The structure was constructed between 1883 and 1907. It is one of Saint Petersburg's major attractions.

I love to practice Tai Chi and do painting, especially plein aire pencil sketch when I travel and watercolour painting at home. The Covid 19 pandemic has given me a lot more time at home to practice watercolour painting.
