Hi Margaret, I was able to finish this within an hour because the pencil strokes were very loose. You will see clearer by zooming in. I like to do pencil sketch outdoor when I travel because I only need to carry minimum stuff, one pencil, a cutter, sketch book and a rubber, that's it ! Normally, my wife will be doing shopping while I do my sketch :).

A fascinating Abbey built on the spur of a rock near Normandy. Believed it or not, I have prepared for 2 years to do this sketch, my wife did not want to go because she was so fear of terrorists attack in France. I eventually did it in 2018. I have this sketch done on the muddy ground, so I have to watch out for the tide rise. The land is so flat, the tide could come very fast without warning.
