Mick, are you on Facebook? I’m not but Julian mentioned to me that there are a few HMS Ganges groups. One, which is headed HMS Ganges Mast, not sure if it was set up to save the mast there, which is grade two listed now. You might be interested, all ex Ganges boys on there having a natter. Do they have a group for Raleigh?

Portrait of an ex Ganges Boy, in his day, who told me later in life, ‘I’ve been a sailor and an airman in the military, I’ve been a copper - you get to know a man whose word is his bond.
