Watercolour. An Irish tinker girl I fell in with on holiday in County Roscommon. We would lie for hours, in the bog, gazing at the night stars. This pose is how I always remember her. She was as wild as her horse.

I was born in 1946. In the 1960s and part of the 70s I was an airman in the Royal Navy, Fleet Air Arm. I joined Durham Constabulary in 1971.
