Michael, you're going to be the death (by drowning in coffee) of my computer!! I wish I had visits from enlightened spirits, you should most definitely take notice of his third truth. It's a fine portrait. Rory has a fine ....ruadh dearg. Tìoraidh an-dràsta

He was a nice kind man Fiona, not what I expected from the historical readings of him of violence and cruelty. He clearly was an artist like me and you too. They say the Celts are creative. Yes, he does have fine red hair and beard. Farewell for the moment.

I didn't have a coffee to pour over technology but I concur with Fiona. You do brighten up a dull day. Thank you! Love the painting too.

I don't know if are better your paintings or your stories, Michael, maybe both paintings and stories because they go toghether. Anyway your spirit has piercing eyes.

I think if a spirit had come to me like this, I would have thought I'd had one too many of the hard stuff! Nice work Michael, great eyes.

Mystic Michael on Bockinford of course

What an extraordinary storyteller you are Michael! Very spiritual red headed spirit with good advice!!

Thanks Margaret,Dennis and Satu.

Thanks Cesare. I can only paint what I see.

Michael, I love the eyes on this image and he speaks many truths ;)

Thanks Carole. I am kind, so are you.

The eyes follow you round the room. :)

Don't be afraid Kirstie. He is a nice man.

The image of a spirit (in pastel) He came to me last night and speaking in Gaelic, (I did a course in my gap year) he said, 'I am your ancestor, Ruaidrí Ua Conchobair, last High King of Ireland and I come to you with three profound truths on which you must reflect. Firstly, you are undeserving of the selfishness, greed and disrespect that has been shown towards you. Trust in your kind nature and the clear sense of right and wrong which you have always demonstrated and never doubt that kindness is synonymous with love. Secondly, use your physical beauty for the good and do not be tempted to sins of the flesh. Thirdly, always use Bockingford and other good quality art material. To do otherwise is both false economy and unprofessional. Follow the teachings of S. Dali.' On waking I thought, 'How true and how well-attuned a 12th century Irishman is to contemporary capitalism' and I immediately went into a state of surrealist automatism and produced this image.
