Recognisable and well painted, with a hint of Amedeo Modigliani in the style. A nice tribute to this amazing girl.

Thanks for introducing me to this artist Andre. He was an interesting personality and I've enjoyed reading about him and his work. You're absolutely right about the similarity to his style in what I've produced - coincidentally rather than deliberately of course, not ever knowing about his work previously. His determination not to be classified as following the style of others but to be his own man is a lesson I want to emulate too. Your observations gratefully accepted.

You have caught the essence of Malala very well Michael ! I can see and hear her in my mind looking at this and that is much more than a perfect portrait.

Thanks for your kind comments Satu. Malala is a true hero. And there are plenty of others I can enjoy trying to capture a little of their magic. Enjoy your painting too.

I think this is a powerful image Michael and one to be proud of.

Thanks for your encouraging comments Russell.

Watercolour. This is my average attempt at painting a great woman. I feel I am improving at getting some likeness. I was told that as long as something about the subject was recognizable it was fine. Here it may be the spot on the left cheek! I Would appreciate your criticism. What is important to me is to celebrate the great lady. 'All I want is education and I am afraid of no one' says Malala.
